Aaron C. Deditch joined Kenyon & Kenyon in 1999. Mr. Deditch has more than ten years of experience in prosecuting, litigating and licensing patents and providing counseling to clients with respect to a broad range of intellectual property matters.
From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Deditch was an Intellectual Property Counsel with Siemens Corp. in Iselin, New Jersey, and provided intellectual property counseling and services for a number of the client operating companies, which included the energy and automation companies and telecommunication companies of Siemens. In particular, Mr. Deditch was involved in providing intellectual property counseling and opinions, preparing and prosecuting patents, patent licensing and managing patent litigations, which included an appeal to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
From 1989 to 1995, Mr. Deditch was an Associate with Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto in New York City, where he was actively involved in every stage of a number of complex, lengthy and major patent infringement litigations, which included preliminary patent assertion investigations, filing and serving complaints and answers, discovery and motion practice, summary judgment motions and hearings, and trial practice for three patent litigation trials, including a jury trial. Mr. Deditch was also heavily involved in providing patent counseling and opinions to both domestic and international clients, and has experience in Reexamination and European Patent Opposition proceedings.
Mr. Deditch has drafted and prosecuted domestic and foreign patent applications for domestic and international clients. The patent applications encompass various electrical, electronic and computer technologies, including electronic control systems, programmable logic controllers, and computer hardware and software systems.
Before his career in law, Mr. Deditch was a Financial Analyst for a major corporation.
