The idea for Equine.com was fostered through Aaron's childhood experiences on his family farm. As the Web was garnering popularity in late 1995, he created Equine.com as a means of connecting buyers, sellers, and breeders through a single marketplace. Now, Equine.com is the most trafficked horse-related Web site on the Internet. Capitalizing on his Internet and horse background, Equine.com will take advantage of Aaron's new ideas to redesign the way the Equine industry transacts sales using the Web. He is responsible for establishing, operating, and leading the team in every aspect. His background is rich with Internet experience. In 1995, he joined Netcom (now part of Earthlink) as part of their technical team to help troubleshoot and expand their proprietary software to hundreds of thousands of customers. Shortly after, he joined Yahoo! as their 9th team member to help create the world's leading online Web directory service. Aaron was a mainstay at Yahoo!, helping the company grow from 10 people to over 2,000. He was responsible for helping maintain the database of editorial content on Yahoo!, facilitating editorial and advertiser relationships, and appeared on various Yahoo! media shows regarding technology and financial analysis. Aaron holds a B.S. Degree in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University and still helps run the family farm in Northern California. |
