Adrienne Lumpkin brings 20 years marketing experience in the technology sector to the table ensuring Alternate Access keeps a consistent hand on the pulse of the marketplace. Adrienne views the advances in telephony as a significant boon to small business owners, in particular. "The ability to traffic calls and to integrate customer information and various communication technologies in a unified manner, takes size out of the picture in terms of competition. Today, small and medium-sized businesses can offer tremendous customer service while increasing their internal productivity and compete on a level field with companies that may garner more resources. It is a new day in the field of communication!" A graduate of Harvard Business School, Adrienne is an experienced marketing professional, who worked in various marketing and management roles at IBM and Hewlett-Packard. Under Kelly and Adrienne's combined leadership, Alternate Access has consistently been recognized both locally and regionally for entrepreneurship, innovation and staying power.Outside the office, Adrienne combines her business acumen and commitment to education with community stewardship. She is a regional chair of the Wake County Public School Business Alliance Leadership Team [BALT] and serves as President Elect on the Enloe High School PTSA board, as well as parent representative for the School Improvement Process. Adrienne has received several recognitions from publications including: Women in Business from Triangle Business Journal, Woman Extraordinaire from Business Leader magazine and Enterprising Woman of the Year from Enterprising Woman magazine. She has been recognized by her alma mater Wesleyan University [CT], with a Distinguished Alumni Award, is an inductee of the YWCA Academy of Women and a lifetime member of the National Black MBA Association, where she served on the Board of Directors for six years. This organization has recognized her twice as MBA of the Year, awarded her the H. Naylor Fitzhugh Award of Relevance, and recognized Alternate Access as Small Business of the Year. She is a past president of the Greater Raleigh chapter of NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) and has served on the NAWBO National Nominating Committee. Adrienne is also a past member of the board of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the Advisory Board of the Minority Business Consulting Program at Duke Fuqua School of Business, the Business Advisory Board for Meredith College, Ligon Middle School Business Alliance, and Raleigh Little Theatre. |
