Al Byrum is our representative for the Florida West Coast and has been doing both software development and systems/network administration since 1987. He started his systems career managing a mini-computer environment and developing manufacturing software in COBOL. Since that time, his software projects have allowed him to develop expertise in Visual Basic, SQL Server, Microsoft Access and Parodox, including custom integration with Microsoft Office. His systems and networking experience includes all versions of Microsoft Windows, Novell Netware, UNIX and AIX, as well as hardware implementation, troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades. At his last position, Al designed and developed an extensive corporate and branch office operations system, and implemented it on 70 workstations spread across 15 locations. He was also responsible for installation, management and support of the entire network. Al is based in Tampa and spends his typical days covering the area from Sarasota to St. Pete, Clearwater, Tampa and all the way up to New Port Richey, providing complete onsite system support for our clients. His work includes troubleshooting network and communications problems, reconfiguring networks and PCs, and installing, moving and setting up new equipment. Al also spends a portion of his time doing application software development. His primary focus is developing database applications using Visual Basic with Access and SQL Server. |
