Al Vieira has over 23 years in the office automation industry. He was born and educated in Aruba, and speaks five languages.
Mr. Vieira immigrated to New York in 1966, where he studied electrical engineering at City University of New York. He returned to Aruba and opened a family electronics business prior to moving to Houston, Texas in 1979.
In Houston, he joined Global Services, Inc., a major independent Canon dealer, as a service technician. Mr. Vieira progressed quickly through the service ranks to become Vice President of Operations in 1988. In this capacity, Mr. Vieira was responsible for many innovative service performance measurement models, utilization of computer software, and entry into such markets as optical imaging and local area networking as well as digital and color copying. His departments consistently achieved performance ratings and profitability in excess of industry standards.
Mr. Vieira frequently speaks at Canon Service dealer meetings both in the U.S. and Mexico. He also participates in various service and financial dealer networks within the industry.
In June 1996, Mr. Vieira joined Felco Copy Data as Vice President and General Manager for its four branch locations in South Texas. |
