Mr. Kersner serves as the Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President, and Treasurer of Terra Holdings, LLC, a holding company that owns and operates several real estate services firms, including Halstead Property Company, a residential brokerage and management company comprised of more than 250 brokers throughout Manhattan; Brown Harris Stevens, one of the oldest and largest residential and commercial real estate service providers in New York City with a staff of over 400 people operating in three states. He brings more than 18 years of experience in real estate management to the firm. He is responsible for the entire accounting operation, including the firm's managed building portfolio of over 125 buildings as well as the corporate accounting departments. Previously, Mr. Kersner was employed at Douglas Elliman Gibbons & Ives where he began his career in real estate management as a budget analyst in 1977. When he left the firm in 1989 to become Treasurer of Brown Harris Stevens he was responsible for the entire accounting operation for a portfolio of over 280 properties. Mr. Kersner holds a B.S. in accounting from Brooklyn College and an M.B.A. in Business Administration from Baruch College. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker and is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. |
