Alan L. Bendes is ShoreGroup's CFO, Treasurer, Secretary and a company director. He has more than 25 years of financial and operating management experience, growing and funding organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies including US Paging Corporation, CIT, Health Management Systems and KPMG. He has a unique ability for introducing and blending sales, operating and financial strategies for generating incremental growth and profitability. Mr. Bendes previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Health Management Systems, Inc., a NASDAQ-AMEX listed health information technology provider, and a current customer of ShoreGroup's. During his tenure there, he improved financial performance by restructuring operations, improving fiscal accountability, and implementing an integrated accounting system. Prior to his time at Health Management Systems, Mr. Bendes spent a significant portion of his senior management career at United States Paging Corporation, a business-to-business communications company and a value-added provider of wireless communications and automated dispatching services. There, he teamed up with the founder to build and scale the organization and provide superior returns to the company's shareholders via an IPO and eventual sale to Skytel. Mr. Bendes provided strategic, sales, operational and technical support to a number of other wireless and internet technology companies, including active participation as a board member. He began his career as a member of KPMG LLP's audit staff upon graduating summa cum laude from The City University of New York's Bernard Baruch College and is a licensed CPA in New York State. Mr. Bendes' established track record of successfully leveraging internal cash flow with well-balanced debt, IPO or private placement incremental capital to drive rapid growth and profitability will provide the springboard for ShoreGroup to achieve its growth objectives.
