Alan Konevsky focuses on a broad range of public and private acquisitions transactions. These include acting for principals, sponsors and financial advisers in negotiated and unsolicited transactions often with a significant cross-border dimension as well as private equity investments and other leveraged transactions, spin-offs, asset sales, joint ventures and acquisitions of assets in bankruptcy. The transactions involve companies located in the United States, Europe and Asia across a range of industrial, financial and technological sectors. Mr. Konevsky has also worked on a wide variety of registered and exempt securities offerings and other financing transactions. He also advises clients on takeover defenses and planning, corporate governance, sales and trading issues, governmental investigations and compliance matters involving U.S. laws and SEC rules. Mr. Konevsky joined Sullivan & Cromwell in 1999 in its London office, and transferred to the Firm s New York office in August 2002. Since October 2006, he has been resident in the firm s London office. He was appointed European Counsel in July 2007. Mr. Konevsky speaks Russian and is proficient in French.
