Mr. Bernikow has been a director of the Company since June 29, 2003. From 1998 until his retirement in May 2003, Mr. Bernikow was the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Deloitte & Touche LLP where he was responsible for assisting the firm on special projects such as firm mergers and acquisitions, partner affairs and litigation matters. Mr. Bernikow joined Touche Ross, the predecessor firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP, in 1977, prior to that Mr. Bernikow was the National Administrative Partner in Charge for the accounting firm of J.K. Lasser & Company. Mr. Bernikow is a member of the Board of Directors of the FOJP Service Corporation; a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the United Jewish Communities - Federations of North America; a member of the Board of Directors and the Chairman of the Audit Committee for the Jewish Communal Fund; Chairman of the Board of The Heart Institute of Staten Island; and a member of the Board of Directors of Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers. |
