Alan Cameron is the Senior Vice President, Engineering and Operations, for the Network Solutions Group. He has been with NextWave for the past nine years. At NextWave Mr. Cameron is responsible for the engineering, implementation, and operation of the IP Core, Interconnection, Network Applications and Security including NMS systems. He is also responsible for Field and NOCC Operations.
Mr. Cameron has spent the last 25 years of his career focused on optical & radio transport, switching & routing communications systems innovation, design, deployment, and operation.
Prior to joining NextWave he held various domestic and international senior engineering or technical management positions at Pacific Telephone / PacBell, PacTel Cellular and AirTouch Communications. While at PacBell, Mr. Cameron developed the Bell System Practice for management and restoration of digital lightwave television systems (DTLS) over video unit fiber (VUF) optical transport that was implemented for the 84 Olympics, in Los Angeles, California. When at AirTouch International he led numerous wireless network development initiatives in the South Pacific Rim. |
