Alan E. Hall is the Founder and Chairman of MarketStar and is responsible for determining MarketStar's vision, strategy, and culture, as well as client and employee advocacy. In 1988, Hall saw an opportunity to help technology companies introduce and sell new products in North America. It was at this time that he founded MarketStar. Hall has been recognized for his business successes by several organizations and has been honored by Ernst and Young and Mountain West Capital Network as Entrepreneur of the Year.
A prominent civic leader, Hall is a member of the Board of Trustees for Weber State University, Chairman of UTC (Utah Technology Council), a trustee of the Intermountain Healthcare Foundation, on the Board of Directors for MediConnect Global Inc., a member of Wells Fargo Bank's Northern Utah Advisory Board of Directors, a trustee of World Trade Center Utah, and the past Chairman of the Board of the Ogden/Weber Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Hall is the Chairman of the Hall Foundation, Utah Co-Chair for Mitt Romney for President, Founder and Chairman of Grow Utah Ventures, and Founder and General Partner of Mercato Partners, a new venture capital firm.??Hall received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Weber State University and his Master of Business Administration from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. Previously, Hall has been the Executive Director of Alumni Relations at Weber State, an adjunct professor at the University of Utah, President of Netline Inc., and President of Ballet West. |
