Alan Stein, M.D., Ph.D., Medical Director, is a physician scientist formally educated in clinical medicine, research, electrical engineering, and computer science. Dr. Stein received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed the combined M.D./Ph.D. degree program with a focus on diagnostic imaging modalities in the Biophysics and Molecular Biology Department. Dr. Stein completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was recently responsible for the design and implementation of real-time 4D ultrasonic visualization of blood-flow. That company was acquired by a West Coast concern and will be addressing the need to non-invasively determine intracranial pressure under the support of a multi-billion dollar medical device company. As Medical Director for Seno, Dr. Stein is the medical, technical, and scientific interpreter with the inventor of opto-acoustics, engineering, and the medical community needs. His extensive software expertise makes him imminently qualified as the architect of the commercial software design. He has initiated and will be overseeing all clinical studies during the commercialization effort. Dr. Stein will interface with outside consultants and experts for regulatory and reimbursement issues. Stein retains ongoing ties to academia, and has served with the Annenberg School for Communication and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is published in both academic and industry journals. |
