Alan Woghin, CPA, MS, is a Partner in the Healthcare Services Group of Goldstein Golub Kessler LLP. With more than 15 years of experience, Mr. Woghin focuses on serving the accounting, finance and tax needs of healthcare organizations. His clients include various community/migrant health centers, homeless programs, HIV programs, drug treatment programs and other social service providers, as well as other not-for-profit and for-profit corporations. Among his numerous accounting, tax and management responsibilities, Mr. Woghin is responsible for all tax compliance and research for the group. In addition, he reviews specialized cost reports specific to ambulatory care facilities reimbursement, and he prepares and reviews client financial reports required for filing with the Department of Health and Human Services (e.g., indirect cost proposals, UDS, FSR). He also monitors healthcare and tax legislation and provides constructive suggestions to enhance operating efficiency under these laws. Mr. Woghin coordinates and conducts professional training for the healthcare group in the New York office. He has conducted National Association and State Primary Care Association seminars on Health Care Finance and reporting requirements for Community Health Centers and Corporate Compliance. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and vice chairman of the Exempt Organization Committee of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Woghin received his B.A. in accounting and business finance from Muhlenberg College and an M.S. in taxation from C.W. Post College. |
