Alasdair MacDonald has been an innovator in the telemedicine and e-health fields for over fifteen years. A promoter of low bandwidth real time solutions, Alasdair designed and built the original VitalLink system, and was the first person to send real time ECG/EKG, SpO2, Blood Pressure and Temperature from a commercial aircraft in flight to a doctor on the ground.

Alasdair continues to work in a consultant capacity with individuals and organisations, national and international, military and civilian, to look at all aspects of the e-Health/telemedicine environment, the drivers and enablers, long term objectives and short term opportunities.
