Al joins Fallon Minneapolis as Executive Creative Director. Most recently, he was the Executive Creative Director of Strawberryfrog, Amsterdam, where he led creative work on Heineken Global, the ASICS fashion brand Onitsuka Tiger, Douwe Egberts coffee products and Europe's largest manufacturer of pasta, Barilla. In 1997 he joined Goodby Silverstein & Partners and rose through the ranks from copywriter to Group Creative Director, creating work for Haagen-Dazs, Comcast, Saturn, HP, Nike, Got Milk and Specialized Bicycles. Prior to that, he worked at Ogilvy & Mather, Scali McCabe & Sloves, and Lowe & Partners on Mercedes, AT&T, Hardee's, and Coke. Al's work has been honored by every major international award. He carried home his share of Lions at Cannes-including the Grand Prix for Nike Skateboarding, and Gold and Silver for Polaroid and HP. He won the $100,000 Radio Mercury Award for a SEGA radio spot, and multiple EFFIES, including 3 golds for Dreyers, Haagen-Dazs, and Polaroid. His work has been inducted into the Clio Hall of Fame. Al was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and attended Syracuse University in upstate New York. Al has moved back to the states with his wife and three kids and started officially at Fallon in August 2007. |
