Alex Markin specializes in mergers and acquisitions in the chemistry-enabled sector. He has been affiliated with First Analysis since 1998. With 35 years of diversified experience in the chemical industry, he combines technology, marketing, and business understanding. After technology development, business management, and business appraisal roles at a Canadian hydrometallurgical start-up, BASF Wyandotte and Air Products, he held senior corporate development roles at Engelhard, Henkel, and W.R. Grace, during which time he assessed, negotiated, and led various ventures and directed more than 20 completed M&A transactions in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia/New Zealand. He earned a master�s and a bachelor�s degree in chemical engineering from the Israeli Institute of Technology. |
