Alex Sorokin is a managing director at Kroll Zolfo Cooper. He has more than 20 years of business experience, primarily working with troubled companies, their creditors and other stakeholders. In addition to providing advisory services, Alex has held interim management positions including chairman, CEO and president in numerous restructuring situations. He currently operates from the London office of Kroll Talbot Hughes, providing interim management and restructuring services throughout Europe.
His restructuring expertise spans diverse industries, such as agribusiness, apparel/retail, manufacturing, real estate, technology, chemicals/petroleum, capital equipment, leasing, hotel, restaurant, telecommunications and toys. He also has provided restructuring and management consulting services outside of North America, including work in Europe, Latin America and Asia, with significant experience in China.
Alex has a demonstrated track record as an interim/crisis management specialist, including the following positions:
Chairman of a start-up building products company
CEO of a $200 million high technology company
Chairman and CEO of a $100 million manufacturing company
CEO of a $70 million mapping company
Chairman and CEO of a $40 million automotive services company
Crisis manager for a $200 million restaurant company
Among his public-record engagements are Federated Department Stores, Placid Oil, Recoton, L.J. Hooker, Russ Togs, Evans Transportation Company, C & L Real Estate, Holt Leasing, Information Displays, Geonex and Quantegy.
Alex was previously with Bankers Trust Company, where he was responsible for marketing strategy, overseas business development and strategic planning.
He holds a B.A. in economics from Johns Hopkins University. |
