Alexander F. Giacco, Jr., Business Development Advisor - Alex Giacco recently formed Brecks Lane Partners, LLC, a strategic advisory group, to assist companies in both their strategy creation and implementation. Prior to that, Alex was responsible for creating and building the Growth Markets Development team for Bank of America and its predecessor MBNA. He was responsible for the identification, evaluation, sales and implementation of all new strategies and products for Bank of America Card Services. He also was responsible for evaluation of any new business opportunities. Examples of new markets developed and entered are healthcare payments, online micro-payments and currencies, mobile payments, and green initiatives. Some examples of the healthcare payments programs include the Aetna Healthy Living Rewards program, the Caremark Rewards program (this program won the inaugural CDHC award in March 2007 for Most Innovative Program in the Convergence of Health Care and Financial Services), and the MedImpact credit card and HSA programs. Prior to the Growth Markets team creation, Alex was responsible for the strategy and sales in the new Financial Services sector for MBNA. The programs that he and his team designed and won include Merrill Lynch, Charles Schwab, A.G. Edwards, Edward Jones, Thrivant Financial, William Blair, and American General. His innovative 529 program was adopted and marketed by Fidelity Investments. These programs added more than $3 billion in outstanding loans since 2002. Prior to joining MBNA, Alex was a Principal of the investment banking firm Alex. Brown and Sons for fourteen years. He also has been with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and started his career with Dean Witter and Company. |
