Ms. Barnhill is an Associate in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck's Santa Barbara office and a member of the Real Estate and Natural Resources groups. She regularly counsels public and private clients on land use, zoning, permitting and environmental compliance matters.
Ms. Barnhill provides general counsel services to municipalities and special districts, advising them on a broad range of legal matters including code enforcement, conflicts of interest, the Public Records Act and the Ralph M. Brown Act.
Ms. Barnhill also represents landowners and developers in the acquisition and development of real property. Her experience includes performing due diligence investigations, negotiating purchase and sale agreements, preparing easements, and assisting clients to achieve compliance with environmental statutes, including the California Environmental Quality Act.
