Alice Owings is a principal in the firm's Corporate, Securities & Tax Group. Her practice focuses on the negotiation and documentation of corporate reorganizations, including asset and stock acquisitions and dispositions and mergers, as well as on financing transactions, both on the domestic and international fronts. Her client base includes private as well as public companies and encompasses the range from entrepreneurial to institutional clients. In connection with those transactions, Ms. Owings counsels clients in connection with anti-trust analysis and filings in connection with corporate reorganizations. She also regularly advises lenders taking equity stakes, warrants or other 'equity kickers' in secured mezzanine and unsecured lending transactions and conducts in-house seminars for her clients in that specialized area. Ms. Owings is a long-time member of the ABA Entertainment and Sports Law Forum and pursues her interest in sports law by keeping current on legal and business issues facing teams and leagues.
Ms. Owings is a co-founder of ENGAGE, a not-for-profit women's organization whose mission is to combine a commitment to philanthropy and education on issues important to women with networking for Chicago area professional women.
