Alicia Chandler was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended the University of Cincinnati where she attained her Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice in 1998. Following her undergraduate career, Ms. Chandler worked for a year as a chemical dependency counselor with juveniles and adult males at a minimum-security prison.
Ms. Chandler attended law school at the University of Cincinnati College of Law where she was President of the Tenant Information Project (TIP). As President of TIP, she was involved with the community in making citizens aware of what their rights were as tenants and landlords. Ms. Chandler petitioned the University board for more funding for TIP and put together a free seminar for the community regarding tenant/landlord issues. She was a member of the Cincinnati Law Review and became a Student Articles Editor her last year. Ms. Chandler was also the Co-Chair of the Hooding Committee where she was significantly involved in fundraising activities and planning the graduation ceremony.
Ms. Chandler was a summer associate with Krieg DeVault LLP in the summer of 2001. As an associate, Ms. Chandler now focuses in the area of Creditors' Rights. Ms. Chandler represents secured creditors in all aspects of chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy cases.
