Dr. Gonzalez graduated from Bastyr University's naturopathic medicine program in 2002. Upon graduation, she completed an informal residency at Woodland Park Wellness, a clinic specializing in physical medicine and the treatment of chronic pain. She also completed a one year teaching fellowship at Bastyr University. During the fellowship, she learned skills to become an educator while furthering her knowledge in naturopathic medicine. Dr. Gonzalez participated in clinic shifts both at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health as well as the University's on-campus shift. She guest lectured in a variety of courses ranging from biochemistry and neurology to grand rounds and botanical medicine. She was co-instructor of the Childhood Vaccination elective as well as Psychological Assessment and full professor for the Practice Managament series and counseling labs. Upon completion of the fellowship, she became an adjunct faculty member. Outside of Bastyr University, she has her own private practice, Tashi Delek Health & Wellness, in Seattle. Beginning July, 2004, Dr. Gonzalez will begin seeing patients in a study through Bastyr University designed to evaluate the effect meditation has on patients in a hospice setting in the final stages of life. |
