Alison J. Hartley is the Senior Vice President of Business Development
for L-3 Communications Integrated Systems (L-3 IS), a world-class systems integration organization specializing in C4ISR technologies,
aircraft maintenance and modernization, contractor logistics support, VIP/head-of-state interiors, and special operations forces fleet support and sustainment.
Hartley leads the business development function for the Integrated Systems Group: field marketing, new business development, trade shows and events, proposal development center, public relations and communications. She is responsible for domestic and international business development activities for the group, including leading teams in new business pursuit opportunities, strategic planning, customer and government relations, media relations, market penetration/branding, advertising campaigns, trade shows, and special events. She recently led the L-3 team in the newly formed C-27J joint venture, Global Military Aircraft Systems, headquartered in Madison, Miss.
Hartley joined L-3 IS in April 2003. Prior to her current position, she spent more than 15 years in business development, sales/marketing, contract management and supply chain management positions at Honeywell International. She served as Market Segment Leader of the electronic warfare/special mission aircraft segment for the Defense & Space Electronic Systems unit based in Albuquerque, N.M. Hartley was previously assigned to Honeywell's Defense Avionics Systems business development, where she was responsible for developing avionics systems business opportunities applicable to military platforms ranging from special mission aircraft to fighters, bombers, and tanker/transports in domestic and international markets.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gordon College in Wenham, Mass., and a Master's of Business Administration degree from Webster University in Albuquerque, N.M. She is a member of the National Contract
Management Association, Army Aviation Association of America, Association of the U.S. Army, and the Air Force Association.
