Alissa Misun is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Chicago office. She is a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department and focuses her practice on IP litigation, counseling and prosecution.
In the area of patent prosecution, she concentrates on mechanical technologies related to medical devices, consumer hand and power tools, window and door hardware, and flexible beverage containers. In addition, Alissa has experience in patent, trademark and copyright litigation, and she has drafted intellectual property licensing and confidentiality agreements.
Alissa received her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. During law school, she served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Michael T. Mason, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of Illinois. She was also a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, Inc.
As a Kimberly-Clark Bright Futures Scholar, Alissa earned her bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also received a Technical Communication Certificate and served as the technical editor for the Undergraduate Engineering Review.
Alissa is a member of the bar of the State of Illinois.
