Allan Wasserman has been in the title industry for more than 20 years, 13 of which have been with Stewart. Prior to 1997, he served as Senior Vice President and Senior Underwriting Counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty. In 1997, he became President and State Manager of Stewart Title of California, merging the 12 independent Stewart corporations in the state into one entity. He has aggressively pursued company growth efforts that have grown Stewart market share in California, and is also responsible for growing Stewart in Arizona, Hawaii, Guam and Saipan.
He was the 2002 President of the California Land Title Association and is a respected source for title information among real estate attorneys, financial groups and other industry professionals.
Wasserman earned a B.A. from San Diego State University and a J.D. from Western State University School of Law. He has served in leadership positions with the San Diego County Bar Association, and has been active with the Building Industry Association and Lambda Alpha, a nationally recognized real estate fraternity. He is a frequent seminar and convention speaker and has lectured at California Bar Association continuing education programs on escrow and title industry subjects.
