Allan C. Kramer , M.D., a resident of Los Altos, California, is the Chairman of the Board of the bank. Dr. Kramer is currently an investment adviser for a partnership dealing with public, private and angel investments. Allan is President and Chief Executive Officer of KAM, Inc., a Los Altos-based asset management company. He is a Founder and Director of Sand Hill Capital, LLC, a leading national early-round technology investment company based in Menlo Park, California. He also is a partner of the Brenner Fund II, a technology investment fund.
Allan has over 25 years experience in the banking, health care and real estate industries.
Allan was a Founder and Director of National Intercity Bank and was instrumental in its merger with Silicon Valley Bank in 1987. During his eight-year tenure as a Director of Silicon Valley Bank, he was closely involved with its growth from its early years to having branches around the nation with assets in excess of $2 billion. He served on its Personnel and Compensation Committee, Executive Search Committee and the Directors' Loan Committee, which he chaired from 1990 through 1995.
Allan founded and developed a 12-clinic group of Occupational Medical Centers, successfully selling it to a public company, Readicare, later HealthSouth, in 1984. In 1986 he developed a group of medical centers devoted to various aspects of women's health. This was also successfully sold to a group of physicians who continue to operate these clinics. More recently, Allan consolidated seven individual Physical Therapy centers into a single enterprise, merging this entity into a larger statewide rehabilitation company, Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN). Additionally, he has been involved in various single-family and multi-residential real estate developments and the construction and lease of medical-dental centers and general office buildings. He has served on the boards of publicly held companies including Utilitech, Inc., Readicare, Inc., National Intercity Bank and Silicon Valley Bank. |
