Allen cofounded Drillinginfo in 1999. He was an independent oilman for 7 years prior that, cofounding three profitable E&P companies. He started in the patch with Marathon Oil Corporation, where he was a geophysicist working in Research, Seismic Acquisitions, and South American exploration. He has several patents in the field of multicomponent seismology and has an MS in Geology from University of Texas at El Paso and a BA in Geology from Rice University. |
