Amanda K. Jester is an associate based in the Firm's Miami office. She is a member of the Health Department and focuses her practice on the representation of physician practices, health care joint ventures, health care mergers and acquisitions, and ancillary service providers. Amanda also has experience in contractual relationships between hospitals and physician groups, the acquisition and disposition of physician practices, and the development and implementation of creative business models for health care clients.
Prior to joining McDermott, Amanda was an associate attorney in the health department in the Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. offices of an international law firm. Amanda was involved in a wide variety of health matters, including immigration, government relations, contracts, tax and fraud and abuse issues. In December, 2003, Amanda founded and implemented the Patient Services and Education Program in conjunction with the Lupus Foundation of Greater Washington, a program designed to empower patients living with a chronic disease by providing educational and social opportunities.
Amanda is admitted to practice in Florida and Virginia.
