Amanda Christensen is an Account Supervisor at The SPI Group where she works on traditional public relations accounts. She specializes in media relations, newsletter writing, press materials development, special events and trade show support. Amanda is also responsible for quality control in all agency communications, and she spearheads the SPI Group's own publicity efforts. Her current clients include: Novartis, Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation, Pfizer, Merck, The Middlesex County Economic Opportunities Corporation (MCEOC), the New Jersey Community Action Association (NJCAA) and the Rahway Valley Sewerage Authority.
Prior to joining The SPI Group in 1999, Amanda worked at The Sawtooth Group, New Jersey's largest advertising agency, first as an Intern (1996) and then as an Assistant Account Executive (1998) in the Public Relations Department. There she gained experience working on a variety of corporate, consumer product and technology accounts and provided marketing strategy for widely-recognized clients such as Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation, McCormick, Tetley and BellSouth. She also has done community relations work for the New Brunswick Department of Recreation and the National "Soccer in the Streets" organization which runs recreation and educational programs for inner-city youth.
Amanda earned a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Media Studies from Rutgers University. In her free time, she enjoys theatre, antiquing, singing and maintaining her personal Web site. She is also a Writer and Editor for The Voice, the official fan publication of Atlantic recording artist Linda Eder. Amanda currently resides in her hometown of Fords, New Jersey. |
