Amit Munshi, a co-founder of Kythera and Chief Business Officer, is working diligently to fill the pipeline and help shape the development of current products.
Prior to joining the Kythera management team, Amit was General Manager of Amgen's European Nephrology Business, with responsibility for the company's lead product for anemia management, Aranesp�. In his 8-year tenure at Amgen his product experience included the launches of Aranesp and Sensipar� in Europe, the relaunch plan for Enbrel, and the launch of Kineret� in the United States. His marketing team's design of SimpleJect for Kineret won many awards including the R&D Magazine 100 award and the 2002 Medical Design Excellence Award[2].
His prior experience includes sales and marketing, and business development roles at both Astra Merck and Johnson & Johnson launching or working on important brands including Livostin� and Prilosec.
Amit has a BA in History and a BS in Econometrics from University of California, Riverside. He also has an MBA from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University. |
