Amy C. Brown's practice involves complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, employment litigation and arbitration, and white-collar criminal defense. Her recent matters include representing more than ninety major institutional investors, funds of funds, pension funds, and individuals who lost more than $580 million in the Lancer hedge funds in litigation against the funds' auditor, administrators, directors, and prime broker/custodian; a Latin American financial institution in an NASD arbitration against a major broker-dealer concerning the loss of securities; major financial institutions in both arbitrations and litigations involving unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, and other employment-related claims; a real estate development company in cases involving claims of gender discrimination and retaliation; a major electronics manufacturer in a national class action alleging consumer fraud, deceptive advertising, and breach of warranty; and individuals and corporations in matters involving allegations of securities fraud, money laundering, and Medicare fraud.
Ms. Brown graduated summa cum laude from Boston University in 1996. She received her law degree magna cum laude in 1999 from New York University School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and Associate Editor of the New York University Law Review.
