Amy Doehring is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP, resident in its Chicago office. She is a member of the Firm's Trial Department where her practice focuses on complex commercial and business litigation, including class actions, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, unfair business practices, shareholder litigation, and breach of contract.
Amy published an article entitled: "Gebser v. Lago Vista Independent School District: The Supreme Court's Determination That Children Deserve Less Protection From Sexual Harassment Than Adults," Loyola University Chicago Law Journal, Issue 30, P. 55 (1999). She co-authored an article entitled, "401(k) Litigation Over Company Stock Fund Performance: It's Only Just Begun," Benefits Law Journal, Vol. 15, No. 4, Winter 2002. Amy also published an article entitled: "Blurring the Distinction Between Contract and Tort: Courts Permitting Business Plaintiffs to Recover Tort Damages for Breach of Contract," ABA Business Torts Journal, Vol. 12, No 2, Winter 2005. Amy is currently the co-editor of the ABA's Business Torts Journal.
While Amy attended Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, she was a member of the Law Journal from 1998-1999 and managing editor of the Law Journal from 1999-2000. She is admitted to the Illinois Bar and a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
