Amy Xiaohui Zheng, graduated from the Tokyo International University School of Business and Commerce in 1993. After she graduated, she worked at the well-known Japanese comprehensive business group, Marubeni Corporation, in their Tokyo headquarters. There she engaged in international business management, and was responsible for business development and governmental relations between China and Japan. Amy participated in a joint venture project between Marubeni and Shanghai Gao-Bridge Free Trade Zone Development Ltd. as they established a new company, Shanghai Wai-Hong International Logistics Co., Ltd. She arranged for a Chinese entrepreneurs� delegation, led by CCPIT, to visit major Japanese trading companies. She also arranged a private meeting between the President of Marubeni Corporation, former Vice Premier of China Tian Ji Yun, former Vice Minister of MOFERT Wu Yi, and high-level CCPIT officials in Japan. Based on Amy�s performance, Marubeni Company sent her to the United States to improve her English skills at California State University, Los Angeles. During her stay in the US, she continued to help Marubeni Advertisement Company successfully coordinate an outdoor advertising campaign at the Beijing International Airport. With these and other business experiences, Amy started a partnership with CCAID Group (California Chinese American Investment and Development Group) in Los Angeles, and engaged in developing business opportunities between China and the US. Among these opportunities were inviting large Chinese economic and trade delegations to visit the United States, organizing their visits to American companies, helping Chinese enterprises set up subsidiaries in the United States, and organizing a variety of cultural activities. During this time Amy also gained experience in dealing with legal aspects of Chinese companies having business dispute cases in the US. |
