Andrea Fitting founded Fitting Group in 1986. She has put together a team of professionals who have been selected primarily for their exceptional problem-solving abilities. Andrea's responsibilities include leading her team to deliver sound strategies, tactics that get results and client service that makes Fitting Group a pleasure to have as an agency partner. Andrea holds B.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Anthropology/Archaeology from the University of Pittsburgh and is a former Fulbright Scholar. She has taught courses at California University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Carlow University and the University of Pittsburgh.
In addition to the numerous accolades and honors received by Fitting Group for creative work, Andrea has won a number of awards for her work and her involvement in the entrepreneurial community, including the YWCA/NAWBO Woman Entrepreneur of the Year (1994), Pennsylvania Honor Roll of Women (1996), Best 50 Women in Business in Pennsylvania (1998), Susan B. Anthony award for Leadership (1999), Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist (2002) and SBN Magazine Pacesetters (2003).
Andrea has served on a variety of not-for-profit boards and commissions including the MIT Enterprise Forum, PowerLink and Executive Women's Council. From 1995 through 1998, Andrea served on the Consumer Advisory Council of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission and from 1998 to 2003 was former Governor Tom Ridge's appointee to the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
Currently Andrea serves on the Board of Trustees of Temple Emanuel, the executive board of Pittsburgh Social Venture Partners and is serving her third term as the first female Director of Parkvale Bank, the fifth largest bank headquartered in the Pittsburgh region with assets of $1.9B and the 25th largest public company in Pennsylvania.
