Andrea Korfin is the President of the NTS Technical Resources Group. In this role she has taken the group through a consolidation and streamlining of activities to enhance the core strengths of the Technical Resources operations. The Technical Resources Group is now engaged in a migration strategy that focuses on bringing the NTS technical expertise to the client sites. Under her guidance and leadership this group has built an infrastructure that includes a fully integrated accounting and operating system, which created an efficient foundation for growth. In December 2000, Andrea was promoted to a Corporate Secretary in addition to her duties as President of the Technical Resources operations.
In October 2002 NTS acquired the IT services and a portion of the engineering services of TRS Staffing, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. This acquisition was an excellent strategic, operational and financial fit. Andrea successfully integrated this new organization that has expanded our ability to service our engineering and IT Managed Services, as well as, the traditional staffing needs of the NTS client base throughout the U.S.
Andrea takes a key role on national activities including but not limited to the NTS Learning University that supports training of employees in all roles throughout the corporation and participated in the development, implementation and roll-out of the Balanced Scorecard Management tool.
As Vice President Corporate Development for NTS, Andrea was instrumental in the successful completion of the Company's key acquisition of the Plano, TX based Telecommunications test laboratory. This was a strategically significant component of the company's focus on the telecommunications and computer testing business.
From 1993 to 1998, Andrea served as Division Manager for the NTS Los Angeles testing operations. As Division Manager, she led the Los Angeles operations to record revenues and profitability and was instrumental in expanding its business into the field services sector, which included major commercial contracts involving work at Vandenberg and Edwards Air Force Bases.
Andrea began her career with NTS in 1982 as an administrative assistant. In 1986 she was promoted to Director of Human Resources where she served until 1992, becoming a valued member of the executive management team. From 1992 to 1993, Andrea worked in sales and marketing, furthering the development of her in-depth knowledge of both the testing and evaluation and staffing sides of the business.
