Andrei Shchegrov is a VP of Product Development. He joined Spectralus in January, 2006 and brings 15 years of experience in optics and laser technologies. In 2001-05, he was with Novalux, Inc., where he managed its optical engineering group and was a manager and a lead design engineer on a number of projects including RGB lasers for displays and blue-green lasers for instrumentation. Other highlights of his past employment, consulting, and management experience include KLA-Tencor Corporation (semiconductor metrology), Novo Nordisk (pharmaceutical applications), DPSS Lasers (ultraviolet solid-state lasers), University of Rochester (speckle phenomena), and Cell Robotics (laser tweezers). Andrei has Ph.D. in Optical Physics from UC Irvine and Diploma (M.S.) in Engineering Physics from Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (Russia). He has over 100 publications, over 10 patents and patent applications, and 2 book chapters in the fields of lasers, optics, metrology, speckle phenomena, and acoustics. |
