Biography
J. Andrew Rogers joined the firms Real Estate practice group in 1986 and concentrates his representation in the areas of commercial leasing and all aspects of commercial real estate development, including the representation of owners and developers in the acquisition, financing, and disposition of office buildings, mixed-use developments, hotels, condominiums, warehouses, and apartments. Mr. Rogers clients include a national retailer of over 1,000 stores (primarily in power centers in the United States and a number of foreign countries), Fortune 500 companies with leased and fee-owned offices across the United States, and developers of single-family communities, apartments, warehouses, office buildings, and mixed-use retail centers. Mr. Rogers is Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is a certified commercial mediator. He also represents a professional sports franchise in sponsorship and other miscellaneous transactions.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Rogers has served on the board of Directors of Junior Achievement Tarrant County, 2004-2006, teaching second graders at Tanglewood Elementary the principles of free enterprise.
Mr. Rogers two daughters, Katie and Emily, are now pursuing careers of their own, which gives Andy more quality time for golf and occasional work on a screenplay. He has read Lonesome Dove three times, because Larry McMurtrys prose "speaks to what it is to be a Texan."
