Andrew K. Cherney concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate law, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and securities regulation. Mr. Cherney has participated in numerous public offerings of securities. In the area of corporate finance, he has served as counsel for borrower and lender in a wide variety of bank financings, project and structural financings, bond financings, private placements, various forms of off-balance sheet financings and venture capital financings. Mr. Cherney also has substantial experience with mergers and acquisitions in a wide variety of structures and sizes, including leveraged buy-outs. He has been actively involved in major urban development projects. Mr. Cherney received his B.A. with honors in English from the University of the South in 1970, and his J.D., summa cum laude, from The Ohio State University in 1973 (Order of the Coif). Mr. Cherney has been named in the past as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the Woodward/White publication of the same name. He has been named among the "Who's Who in Law" in The Dayton Business Journal. His professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Dayton Bar Association: Chairman, Business Law Committee (1986-1988). |
