Andrew M. Higgins is a partner in the Litigation Department. He has a broad and varied background in litigation and has represented clients in professional liability, toxic torts, environmental and various commercial matters. He has handled trials and appeals in state and federal courts in Massachusetts and other jurisdictions, and has substantial experience in arbitration, mediation and other alternative dispute resolution processes. Before joining the firm, Mr. Higgins was an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey. In that position he represented the United States Government and Government employees in trials and appeals in both state and federal courts in New Jersey, as well as in administrative matters. Mr. Higgins graduated magna cum laude from Bucknell University where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He attended Harvard Law School and graduated cum laude. While at Harvard Law School, he was an article editor of the Harvard Civil Rights Civil Liberties Law Review and a member of the Harvard International Law Review. He is a member of the federal and state bars in Massachusetts and New Jersey and is a member of the American and Boston Bar Associations. |
