Andrew Button has 15 years of wireless and telecom experience, and is responsible for directing the Optimi business from the regional headquarters in Singapore.
Prior to joining Optimi, Button served as Vice President - Wireless for Somera Communications, was the General Manager of Marketing and Strategy for Nokia Networks in North America and was Executive Director of Business Development for Nokia Networks on the Cingular Account Team. In these roles he was actively engaged in assisting operators cost effectively migrate their platforms from 2G to 3G and address the operational issues of running both networks simultaneously.
Button originally started in Telecommunications in New Zealand leading the Nokia New Zealand Vodafone Account Team. Prior to Telecommunications Button worked in corporate treasury for the Dow Chemical Company in Canada and earned his Associate Chartered Accountant designation whilst working for Touche Ross and A&T Burt Merchants in Wellington New Zealand.
Button earned his bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Massey University in Palmerston North New Zealand. He regularly contributes to the telecommunications industry and was a founding director of the Atlanta based Wireless Technology Forum. |
