Experience:
Andrew Sharples has extensive experience regarding company and corporate matters, including private equity-related work, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and reorganisations/restructurings. His private equity/venture capital experience covers assisting start ups, advising companies on various funding rounds, acting for venture capitalists on investments and their portfolio management, and advising management and private equity houses on exits through trade sale, by way of auction process, and by initial public offering. He has worked on numerous share and asset sales and acquisitions, including from receivers/administrators and those conducted by auction and by way of recommended offer. He has also undertaken numerous reorganisations and restructurings, including share capital reductions, returns of capital, and court approved schemes of arrangement.
Notable Engagements:
Advised shareholders on the disposal of part of their shareholding in an oil storage and distribution business.
Advised a private equity house and management shareholders on the auction sale of a distribution business.
Advised a private equity house and management shareholders on the sale to a subsidiary management team of a technology manufacturing company.
Advised on the acquisition of a number of luxury hotels both by way of share purchase and also by way of asset acquisition.
Advised on a joint venture in relation to the acquisition and operation of a leading hotel.
Advised a large multi-national on numerous reorganisation/restructuring matters.
