For more than 15 years, Andy has been involved with building and growing companies as an investment banker, venture capitalist, and entrepreneur. Since 2000, Andy has served as Managing Partner and Managing Director at BDV, a Seattle-based private equity firm, where he is responsible for overseeing all firm operations. Andy is currently a member of the board of directors for ClearMedical and formerly a board observer for Performant, Inc. Andy is also a member of the board of trustees for Seattle Biomedical Research Institute. From 1999-2000, Andy served as Vice President of Corporate Development at LHS Group, the world's leading wireless customer care and billing company. He was responsible for corporate planning, strategic partnership building, and technology planning. He assisted with the completion of LHS Group's $4.7 billion merger with Sema Group. From 1993-99, he was a founding member of the management team for Priority Call Management, an innovative telecom software company. At Priority Call, he assisted in raising $15 million from angel and venture capital investors and grew the company from zero to $60 million in revenues within six years. His primary responsibilities included building global sales, marketing, and service operations. Goldman Sachs assisted with the 1999 sale of Priority Call Management to LHS Group for approximately $200 million. Andy was also an early employee at hDC Computer, a software company in Redmond, WA. From 1988-90 he worked as an investment banker and venture capitalist with Smith Barney in New York where he was involved in reorganizations for Revco Drugstores, Sunbeam Appliance Company, and Eastern Airlines. He holds an AB from Harvard College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. |
