Mr. Grimaldi grew up in the vibration test industry working for the family business, ACG Incorporated, in high school and college. Andy graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, CT with a BSEE and BSCE. He worked in aerospace (UTC) as project engineer his first year out of school. Andy was then hired as an electrical/project engineer for ACG. At ACG, Andy worked on introducing modern quality systems and engineering standard practices across products including armatures, field coils, and system components. He helped establish ACG as a recognized OEM solution based system sales with rebuilt exciters and purchased amplifiers. He also designed and manufactured power amplifiers, switching cabinets, power supplies, and accessory equipment during his employment at ACG. Mr. Grimaldi has since held engineering management positions and an assistant general manager position. Before his return to Ling and ACG he worked for Hamilton Sundstrand / UTC as an IPT Leader for F100 / Operational Military Engine controls and accessories project team. Andy was extensively involved with qualification testing for FAA and military certification. |
