Prior to forming Littlejohn & Co. LLC in 1996, Mr. Littlejohn was a founding partner of Joseph, Littlejohn & Levy in New York, where he was the lead partner responsible for operations at its portfolio companies. During his tenure at JLL, the group and its affiliates created and managed two highly successful investment partnerships, which focused on financially distressed and underperforming companies. Over a ten-year period, Mr. Littlejohn was instrumental in investing over $500 million in transactions valued at approximately $3.6 billion. Prior to founding JLL, Mr. Littlejohn was a managing director of Quadrex Securities in New York, where he specialized in leveraged buy-outs. Before that, he was a private entrepreneur in mining, aviation and equipment leasing. He began his career as an associate in corporate finance at S.G. Warburg & Co. in London, England after receiving his B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1973. |
