Anita Cicero represents BioPharma industry consortia and individual companies before the FDA, HHS, and EPA in the United States and before the European Commission and several national regulatory authorities in EU Member States. Anita has extensive experience in international treaty negotiations within the UN framework. In this capacity, she has developed and coordinated worldwide regulatory and public affairs efforts on behalf of the pharmaceutical industry.
Anita manages several pharmaceutical consortia addressing a range of compliance and policy matters affecting the industry. She consults with pharmaceutical clients on issues affecting business and clinical research objectives, including data privacy issues, new product launch strategies and drug reformulation efforts. Anita also works with Institutional Review Boards and academic medical centers on issues relating to clinical research.
Before joining the firm, Anita focused on environmental litigation and counseling. From 1991 to 1995 she served as a trial attorney in the Honors Program in the Environmental Enforcement Section of the United States Department of Justice.
In General. Anita is a graduate of the Yale Law School and received her undergraduate degree with high honors from Oberlin College. Anita was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a recipient of the four-year Harry S. Truman Scholarship awarded for academic excellence. |
