Ann Smith is senior counsel in the Cerritos office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. Ms. Smith practices primarily in the area of labor and employment law. She represents management in personnel and labor relations matters such as sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination and wage and hour issues. She specializes in employment litigation. Ms. Smith frequently speaks to employers and employer organizations on labor and employment issues. While at the University of Notre Dame, Ms. Smith was the Note Editor of the Law Review. During law school she spent one year in London, England at the University of Notre Dame London Law Program. While an undergraduate she spent one year at the University of Sussex in England as a Politics Scholar. Ms. Smith has served on the Board of Directors for the Cerritos Chamber of Commerce for the past ten years. She was appointed to chair the Legislative Action Committee from 1993-1995. She served on the Executive Committee of the Cerritos Chamber from 1998-2000 and was awarded the President's Award by the Cerritos Chamber in 1999 and 2004. Ms. Smith currently volunteers on the Board of Managers for the Los Cerritos YMCA. She has been appointed to serve on the Financial Development Committee, assisting the YMCA in developing plans for the future. |
