Ann Karwacki Goodman advises individual clients on a variety of planning issues. She provides counsel on estate and tax matters, asset protection and long-term care, special needs planning, estate administration and elder law. The focus is often on tax deferral and avoidance, planning for disability, wealth management and particular client family issues. Once a plan is formulated based upon the wishes and goals of the client, she drafts wills, trusts and the related documents to insure the plan is effective. For clients with long term care issues, she coordinates planning and assists families with applications for government benefits, as needed. Ms. Goodman also assists clients with estate administration work, including the probate of estates, post-mortem planning to minimize taxation, preparing or coordinating tax filings for the estate, ultimately accomplishing the wishes of the decedent. Ms. Goodman participates in estate-related litigation, including will caveat proceedings and will construction litigation.
