Ann Marie Arcadi is of counsel in the Firm's litigation section and handles general commercial litigation, with an emphasis on employment and labor law. Ms. Arcadi has represented parties in a variety of federal and state court litigation including those involving claims of ERISA fiduciary violations, violations of Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act, and the Texas Workers' Compensation Act. Ms. Arcadi has also litigated business disputes involving allegations of unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and breach of contract. Ms. Arcadi counsels clients in employment and labor law, providing assistance in the investigation of discrimination and harassment complaints, advising on severance arrangements and disciplinary matters, and developing and implementing various human resources training programs, policies and procedures. Ms. Arcadi was recognized for delivering superior client service in a 2001 survey of almost 200 general counsels in Fortune 1000 companies. She was one of only 78 lawyers nation-wide listed as a BTI Client Service All-Star for 2001 in a survey conducted by the Boston-based BTI Consulting Group. In 2002 Ms. Arcadi was voted one of Dallas' "Best Lawyers Under 40" in a D Magazine survey. In 2005, 2006 and 2007, she was named as one of the "Rising Stars" in Texas law by Texas Monthly magazine. |
