G. Anthony Gorry, Ph.D. has served as a director since January 1997. Since July 2000, Dr. Gorry has been the Friedkin Professor of Management and Professor of Computer Science at Rice University where he also serves as the Director of the Center for Technology in Teaching and Learning. From prior to April 1999 through July 2000, he was Vice President, Information Technology at Rice. Dr. Gorry directs a training grant on computational biology funded by the National Library of Medicine. He is also Adjunct Professor of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Gorry holds a B.Eng. from Yale University, an M.S. in chemical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a Ph.D. in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a Member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics. |
