Anthony P. Valenti Managing Director Anthony Valenti is Vice President of Stroz Friedberg Investigations ( SFI ), a division of Stroz Friedberg, LLC. As such, Mr. Valenti manages SFI's worldwide practice in internal corporate investigations; due diligence; monitoring and Special Master assignments; asset location; civil and criminal litigation-related investigative services; and government fraud. Mr. Valenti is a former IRS Special Agent and the former chief investigator for the U.S. Attorney s Office for the Eastern District of New York, where he spearheaded high-profile criminal investigations into public corruption, corporate fraud and SEC violations. Mr. Valenti s private sector experience encompasses a broad range of investigative and consulting assignments, including leading a six-month internal money laundering investigation of a Swiss subsidiary of a multi-national company; leading a four-month independent investigation into allegations of misconduct at a New York diocese; appointment as a Special Master by the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York to make restitution to victims of a $17 million criminal fraud case; investigating a $7 million embezzlement from a high net worth individual; evaluating the law enforcement and corrections operations of the Orange County Sheriff s Office in New York; managing an undercover narcotics in the workplace investigation of the Washington, DC office of a major US company; and leading an investigation into a group of employees running a secret side-business using their employer s staff, resources and overtime. After leaving the government, Mr. Valenti became a Vice President and Senior Investigator for Citigroup, where he managed a team of investigators responsible for detecting and investigating suspected employee wrongdoing, external fraud, and insurance losses; provided training in fraud detection and prevention; as well as performing due diligence tasks for all global affiliates and subsidiaries. Prior to joining Stroz Friedberg Investigations, Mr. Valenti served as the Regional Manager for the New York Office of Corporate Integrity Services, a subsidiary of Holland & Knight. Mr. Valenti is former National Treasurer of the Federal Criminal Investigators Association (FCIA), a fraternal organization for active and retired federal law enforcement officers. He also remains the National Treasurer and Executive Director of the FCIA Endowment Fund, which provides assistance for families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
